Roberto Sassi was the Head of Performance and Sports Science in Juventus for 9 years. Currently, he is the Head of Sport Science at Inter Milan. His CV includes coaching experiences with some of Europe’s most famous football clubs. He began his coaching career in 1978 in Varese, and subsequently, he has travelled all over the continent, coaching in Lecce, Lazio, Avellino, Torino, Verona, Salernitana, Fiorentina, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Parma, Sampdoria and Dynamo Moscow. During his spell with the Blucerchiati, Sassi focused on youth development and designed the very successful Training Check initiative. He collaborated with Juventus, and the club is now reaping the rewards of his innovative blueprint.
